I absolutely love the colour and have used it before in my old house. The emulsion gives good coverage but the eggshell is poor. We painted all the woodwork and our mantelpiece with three coats but putting up the overmantel mirror and putting clocks and ornaments back is marking the eggshell. It seems to rub away remarkably easily which is disappointing. I don’t remember having any issue with the eggshell paint in our last house but that was about 12 years ago and perhaps a different paint ‘recipe’.

The muted blue emulsion paint has transformed the dining room in our new house. It’s the most beautiful colour and looks lovely in natural daylight or candle lit. I have used the colour before in our old house and it’s every bit as lovely as I remembered.
