Pencil Pleat: a simple but classic curtain style
Firstly, measure the width (A). If you're using a pole, measure the length between the decorative ends. For a track, measure the length from end to end. Next, measure the drop (B). If you would like your curtain to sit on the window sill and are using a track, measure from the top of the track to 1cm above the sill. For a pole, measure from the top of the curtain rings to 1cm above the sill. For curtains to fall below the window sill, measure from the top to 15cm below. And for curtains to drop to the floor, measure from the top to 1cm above the floor.

Pinch Pleat: a more traditional window dressing
Firstly, measure the width (A). Measure the length between the decorative ends of your pole. Next, measure the drop (B). If you would like your curtain to sit on the window sill and are using a track, measure from the top of the track to 1cm above the sill. For a pole, measure from the top of the curtain rings to 1cm above the sill. For curtains to fall below the window sill, measure from the top to 15cm below. And for curtains to drop to the floor, measure from the top to 1cm above the floor.
