Since 1984, we have followed a tradition of designing and manufacturing natural, sustainable cloth in Scotland. Our fabrics are inspired by the Scottish landscape and changing seasons, drawing on a rich and ever-evolving colour palette rooted in place.
ANTA Lowland Tweed is woven in Scotland from 100% wool, using traditional techniques that balance softness with durability. Lighter in weight than our Highland Tweed, it offers a more flexible handle while retaining the strength and character of a classic upholstery fabric.
The yarn is dyed prior to weaving, ensuring depth and vibrancy of colour throughout the fabric. The result is a soft yet hard-wearing tweed with a refined finish, suitable for both contemporary and traditional interiors.
Wool is a naturally renewable fibre, shorn annually without harm to the animal. It is biodegradable, breathable and an excellent natural insulator, helping to regulate temperature while allowing air to circulate. Its natural acoustic properties also make it ideal for interior applications.
With a rub count of 20,000, ANTA Lowland Tweed is suitable for both domestic and light commercial use, making it a versatile choice for upholstery, curtains and fabric walling.
