Benbecula Carpet: Stair Runners & Wall-to-Wall Fitting

Woven in Scotland from 100% British wool, now predominantly sourced from Scottish sheep using the Highland clip. Our carpets use a natural material that is both sustainable and resilient, as well as a natural insulator and soundproofing layer underfoot.
With a wide selection of patterns, colours, and stair options available, each carpet is crafted and fitted with expertise and care. Whether it’s a bold statement on your stairs, a subtle texture within a room, or a seamless flow throughout your home, ANTA carpets are designed to create inviting, timeless interiors to be enjoyed for years to come.
This installation is currently in progress, with the carpet being carefully fitted to the space. Even at this stage, the combination of materials and colour begins to take shape. The woodwork is painted ANTA Orange, a shade selected to complement and draw out the tones within the Benbecula carpet and Beauly Tweed being fitted on the walls, watch this space for the finished look.

Seamless Wall-to-Wall Fitting
Benbecula is equally suited to wall-to-wall installations, where its pattern can be appreciated across a larger surface.
For wider rooms or more complex layouts, seaming allows the carpet to be fitted across the entire space. This process is carried out with precision to ensure the pattern aligns correctly and joins remain as discreet as possible.
Our approach ensures that even in larger areas, the carpet retains a continuous, uninterrupted appearance.
A Natural Fit for Stairs
Staircases are one of the most effective ways to showcase pattern, and Benbecula lends itself particularly well to this application.
The design flows effortlessly from step to step, changing direction on landings through either a mitred seam or a 90-degree turn, creating continuity and movement throughout the home. When fitted on a staircase, it works equally well as a runner or fully fitted, with the option of binding to introduce a subtle contrast or pop of colour at the edges.
Careful attention is given to pattern placement and alignment, ensuring a clean, tailored finish. The result is a staircase that feels both practical and visually refined - designed to withstand everyday use while enhancing the character of the space.
Pairing Benbecula with Colour
One of the defining qualities of Benbecula is its depth of colour. Within the pattern, multiple tones can be drawn out and echoed throughout a space.
Whether paired with softer neutrals or more confident shades such as Loch Blue or ANTA Orange, the carpet provides a strong foundation for building a cohesive interior palette.
In another recent installations Benbecula has been used on a staircase as a runner, paired with Loch Blue woodwork and continuing seamlessly onto the landing.
