Where did it all start? Where are you from, what did you study?
I'm from Glasgow and studied Fashion Business at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Tell us about your career, what was your first job and how did you end up at ANTA?
My first job was in a hotel serving at weddings and functions, it was a great job while studying at university. I came across ANTA when researching for my final year portfolio. I was attracted to the textiles, but the heritage and the fact everything is made and sourced in Scotland is what really captured me. When I saw ANTA had a vacancy at the Glasgow store I thought it would be perfect for me!

What's your favourite thing about Glasgow?
It's cliched, but the people. Everyone is really friendly and Glasgow has a very unique sense of humour.

How do you like to spend your spare time?
I love sewing and pattern cutting so I always try to have a project on the go. My next project is a pair of tartan trousers made from William Adam Lowland Tweed.

What inspires you?
Traveling, textiles, print and colour.

I would never leave home without…
My Brodick Carpet Bag, I use it every day. It holds so much, it's the perfect bag for me.

What are your top fashion tips?
Scarves are not only for winter, they’re perfect for adding a pop of colour or some texture. I love pairing the Dunkeld scarf with the Partridge linen clutch to finish an outfit.

What are your favourite fashion related blogs or magazines?
Man Repeller is one of my favourite accounts to follow as it feature lots of colours and patterns. It is all about wearing what you love and not being afraid of things clashing or not being considered fashionable. I also really like Scotland Re:Designed and Scot Street Style as it celebrates home grown, creative talent in Scotland.

What are some of your current fashion obsessions?
I am obsessed with all the exaggerated sleeves and flared trousers that are currently on trend. I really like their dramatic silhouette yet they’re still simplistic enough that you can accessorise them.

Where do you like to shop?
Zara, H&M and Cos.

What do you like to splurge on?
I love to splurge on travelling and visiting new places.

What's the best gift you have ever been given?
My Doc Marten Boots, I’m in love with them!

Tell us about working in retail in Glasgow - what does a typical day look like?
Working in the Glasgow showroom is all about interacting with the customer. Whether you’re helping to select fabric and colours for a full interior project or just helping to select a special gift. What I enjoy the most is how much our customers love to talk to us and involve us in the process. We’re here to help and ensure our customers get something they really love.

How would you describe an ANTA customer?
ANTA customers have a real focus on high quality products which is why they shop with us. It is very important to our customers that everything is made in Scotland, it helps them to connect to the brand.

What's your favourite ANTA product and why?
Anything that uses Duncan Macgillivray Lowland Tweed, it’s such a beautiful fabric and always looks really smart and stylish.duncanmacgillivraylt

If you were to buy someone a gift from ANTA, what would you pick?
The Oakleaf large jug, practical and looks great if it is used as a vase.

What do you think will be popular or the next trends in interior design, fashion and food over the next 5 years?
Interiors - Refined and minimal with an increased use of technology throughout the home.
Fashion - Rise of homegrown designers and brands. More people wanting to know where their clothes are made and ditch the fast fashion throw away culture.
Food - An increase in the number of vegans and vegetarians with more specialised restaurants catering to this lifestyle.

What's the most important thing you have learnt from working at ANTA?
Quality is the most important thing to the ANTA customer and it is why the brand is so successful.
